The 1/19 Iskra - It's Here

The 1/19 Iskra - It’s Here

Well it’s here folks. It’s fucking here. It’s inauguration week. Bear with me in this post I’m probably going to be all over the place. Just try to keep up. Goddamn. I don’t know what to write y’all. I don’t. I don’t know what to tell you, or to tell myself. And when I don’t know what to do, or what to say, I get back down to the basics of life. I start there, and I hold the fuck on. Before I get into getting back to the basics, and how to hold the fuck on, I want to address a couple of things from this week… Tiktok and the “ceasefire”.

The Tiktok parade was a whole bunch of bullshit propaganda made by Trump and his cabinet of douche canoes. If you do not recognize this then crawl back under your rock, watch your Fox News, and stfu. I tried to get on Tiktok this morning, and there was a message from TikTok saying it’s banned, and that maybe President-elect Trump will be able to bring it back. Literally not more than a few hours later, it’s back, because somehow President-elect Trump pushed a magic button and brought it back. Even though he’s not even the president yet. Make it make sense. You can’t. Because it doesn't. Nothing about these next four years is going to make sense. And the government is going to do its damnedest with propaganda in order to sell this oligarch to make it make sense. But if you pay attention enough it’s not going to. Things will not add up. What they’re saying won’t match what they’re doing. What they’re doing they’ll say is for the “working people”, but it NEVER is, it is ALWAYS for the oligarch. It’s always to benefit the rich man. Wake up. The Tiktok parade was propaganda. Don’t fall for it. Keep your ears perked. Keep your mind sharp. It’s going to get thick with bullshit these next four years.

First let me say this about the ceasefire, FREE, FREE PALESTINE! 🇵🇸 Much more work to do after a ceasefire. A free and liberated Palestine is what they deserve as human beings.
If you have been living under your rock watching the bullshit that is Fox News then you might be unaware that for the past seventy-seven years Israel has been trying to commit genocide. Now for the past 15 months Israel, with the help of the US, has been actively bombing, shooting missiles, kidnapping, raping, and piliging, the country that is Palestine. Zionism is strong right now in Israel. Racism is strong in Israel. Fascism is strong in Israel. The government of Israel, as the US as it’s biggest backer, is committing genocide against the Palestinian people with massive force. The international community is saying they're committing war crimes, but how can it be war crimes when Palestine doesn’t even have an army? Its crimes against humanity is what it is. There isn’t a war. Palestinians don’t have tanks, or fighter jets, or a huge as fucking army, or nukes. They have Hamas which is trying it’s damnedest to save it’s people from genocide. Today, January 19, was supposed to be the first day of the “ceasefire”. We'll see. Israel is dead set on killing all of the Palestinian people and colonizing their land, and the US is dead set on backing them in doing it. They’re bloodthirsty, colonizing, fascist who obviously didn’t learn from their own past.

My hopes? That this “ceasefire” is real somehow. That this genocide that Israel is committing can be stopped. That the US government stops supplying Israel with bombs that are killing innocent human beings. That the people of the fucking world stand up for Palestine even more than they already are. That the people of the world wake the fuck up to the atrocities that surround us (there are currently genocides happening in countries in Africa as well). That they see that it is OUR GOVERNMENT who is the imperialist of the world, the colonizers of the world, and will do something to revolutionize our government. I hope that folks see this ceasefire, and see the Palestinian people rejoicing in the rubble that was once their homes, and become radicalized for oppressed people all over the world. God my hopes are huge, I know. Revolution is my hope. A revolution of class consciousness that wakes the masses to who they are and what they’re capable of as a mass movement. There’s a quote by Ursula Le Guin, “We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings.” Capitalism does seem inescapable. It does. But this quote gives me hope, because there was a period when folks believed kings had divine right, and that nothing could topple them, but that is not the case today. Not a king over this land. An oligarch, but not a king. And just like that king was overthrown, we too can overthrow the oligarch. We must simply wake up, take up each other's hand, and march into that beautiful future of socialism.

It’s tomorrow. A lying felon, adjudicated rapist, is going to take an oath on a book made of fairy tales to lead one of the most powerful countries in the world. What a fucking joke. In this time of laughable insanity let’s get back to the basics. Let’s eat some fruits and veggies. Let’s drink some water. Let’s go for a walk outside. Let’s go to therapy. Let’s love our loved ones a little harder. Let’s read a fiction book about adventure. Do something for you. Take care of yourself. If you don’t take care of the basics you can’t fight fascism, and we MUST fight fascism. We cannot let anyone suppress us or our comrades. We must stand tall for our oppressed communities; for our black and brown communities, for our LGBTQ+ communities, for our unhoused communities, for our immigrant communities, for our disabled communities, for any community that finds the oppressive black boot of fascism on their neck. We fight. We fight by keeping the basics top priority and simple when we’re overwhelmed. When you’re not overwhelmed, when you feel strong, then you fight in other ways. We vote. We campaign. We meet as a community. We volunteer. We go to city council meetings. We listen. We read. We care for another. We resist fascism with every ounce we got, and then when we ain’t got anymore ounces, we give the milliliters. Our comrades are worth it. A better future is worth it. We just gotta keep fighting is all. One day at a time.
